Sell fast and buy safely from classified ads

Last updated: 2026-11-02 · 2 min read

Classified ads connect sellers and buyers directly with no middleman, which saves money for both. To keep the experience successful and safe, there are a few simple rules for each side.

If you are selling: how to sell faster

1. Photos

  • Shoot in daylight and clean the item first.
  • Add at least 4 to 6 photos from different angles, plus a clear photo of any defect. Honesty builds trust and saves everyone time.
  • Do not use photos from the internet; buyers want to see the real item.

2. Title and description

  • The title should state exactly what it is: brand, model, storage or size, and condition. For example: "iPhone 13 Pro 256GB, battery 89%".
  • In the description, include the reason for selling, age, accessories included, any repairs, and how handover works.

3. Price

Look at listings for the same item and condition and price close to them. An inflated price makes a listing sit; a realistic price with "negotiable" attracts more buyers.

4. Replies

Reply quickly on WhatsApp and calls, and be reachable at the times you state. The first hours after posting are when most people ask.

If you are buying: how to protect yourself

  • Never pay a deposit before inspecting. The most common scam is an online "reservation deposit" for an item with a tempting price.
  • Meet and hand over in a busy public place, ideally with someone you know.
  • Inspect the item yourself. The "Site guide" has inspection tips for each category: phones, cars, property and appliances.
  • Check the paperwork for expensive items: receipt, licence, contract.
  • Never send photos of your ID or one-time verification codes (OTP) to anyone.
  • If something feels wrong, walk away; there are plenty of other listings.

If you see a suspicious listing

Every listing page on the site has a "Report this listing" link. Use it if a listing looks like a scam, the photos are not real, or the price is very strange, and we will review it.
